Creating saved searches in Koha

In this video Lucy shows you how to save searches in Koha so that they can be made available for re-use on the OPAC and Staff Interface. Once created, saved searches display under Refine Your Search on search results pages under Custom search filters. We explain one way to use these searches to create filters based on publication dates.

Setting up saved search filters:

  • Enable the system preference SavedSearchFilters
  • If needed set the staff permission associated with this system preference – Manage saved search filters (manage_search_filters), this controls which staff are able to create, edit and delete saved searches
  • Manage your saved searches from Administration > Search filters
