Press Release
Danskernes Historie Online has chosen Open Fifth to host and support their Koha library management system. Open Fifth migrated the system in December 2025 and will provide ongoing hosting and support services to Danskernes Historie Online to ensure its success in supporting these collections into the future.
Koha library management system
With over 18,000 systems worldwide, Koha is one of the most widely used library management systems (LMS) in the world. Koha is entirely web-based for both staff and public functions. This helps make the system light, easy to use, easy to deploy and easy to manage.
Koha’s impressive feature set continues to evolve and expand to meet the needs of its user base. It includes modules for circulation, cataloguing, acquisitions, serials, course reserves, user management, interlibrary loans, and more.
Per Hundevad Andersen, Manager at Danskernes Historie Online, shared:
“For some time we have been looking for a Koha LMS hosting and support company who could meet our requirements for reliability, responsiveness, uptime and support. With Open Fifth we are convinced that we have found a supplier who meets our requirements for a professional environment.“
Helen Symington, Sales Executive at Open Fifth, shared:
“We are so excited to be hosting and supporting Danskernes Historie Online with their Koha library management system. Danskernes Historie Online is a phenomenal resource for the Danish people to preserve and celebrate their history. Already familiar with Koha, we are delighted that we can help Danskernes Historie Online ensure the ongoing access to their amazing resources through Open Fifth hosting and supporting their system. I am very proud to be their account manager and look forward to working closely with them.“
